Wax Melt Guide

Enjoy long lasting fragrance with our handmade botanical wax melts.

What are wax melts?

Wax melts are small pieces of scented wax that are gently warmed in a burner to release fragrance into your home. Unlike candles, they do not have a wick and are not burned directly.

How to use your wax melts

Choose your burner

Use an appropriate wax melt burner or warmer.

If using a tealight burner, only use unscented tealights no more than 4 hours burn time.

If using an electric burner, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

Add the wax

Place 1–2 wax melt pieces (or the recommended amount) into the clean, dry dish of your burner.

Do not add water or oil.

Melt and enjoy

Light your tealight or switch on your electric burner.

The wax will slowly melt and release fragrance into the room.

Do not move the burner while the wax is melted.

How long do they last?

Each wax melt can be used for several hours of fragrance, often over multiple sessions.

When you can no longer smell the scent, it is time to change the wax.

How to remove used wax

Let the wax cool and fully harden.

Once cooled, gently pop the wax out of the dish. If it is difficult to remove:

Turn on the burner for a short time until the wax softens around the edges, then slide it out.

Or place a cotton pad or tissue into the slightly warm wax to absorb it, then dispose of it in the bin.

Wipe the dish with a dry cloth or tissue. Do not pour wax down the sink.

Safety information

Always place the burner on a flat, heat‑resistant surface, away from draughts, curtains, and anything that could catch fire.

Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Never leave a lit tealight or burner unattended.

Do not overfill the dish with wax.

Do not touch or move the burner while in use – the wax and burner can get very hot.

Do not use cleaning products or water in the wax dish.

CADDO botanicals are decorative and safe to use within the burner during melting.

Storage and care

Store wax melts in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources to protect the fragrance.

Keep them in their original packaging or an airtight container to keep the scent strong.

Use within a reasonable time for the best fragrance experience.
